final gif

Image
file:///Users/1118715/Documents/final.gif In this GIF, I have traced the background and duplicate it and turn it horizontal. I emerge them together and used a layer mask to blend it in so it seems as one image. I drew a rabbit digitally in Photoshop by tracing the actual drawing that I scanned in the previous gif and then created a new rabbit. I put all the positions of the rabbit in each layer to make a sequence. I changed the background to black and white and blur it so it focuses on the rabbits. In the end, i blurred the background so the main focus would be in the rabbits.

PROCESS OF THE GIF (1ST ATTEMPT)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-v6XzEt_g0&feature=youtu.be - DRAWING OF THE RABBIT (CHARACTER) I DID SOME RESEARCH OF HOW A RABBIT RUNS AND LOOKS LIKE AND I DREW POSITIONS OF HOW THE RABBIT WILL RUN. I SCANNED THE DRAWINGS AND TRACED IT IN PHOTOSHOP THEN I COLLECTED SOME IMAGES OF FORESTS TO TRACE IN PHOTOSHOP AND USE IT AS BACKGROUND AFTERWARDS I DUPLICATED THE BACKGROUND AND CHANGE IT TO HORIZONTAL THEN USED THE MASK TO BLEND BOTH BACKGROUND TO SEEM AS A WHOLE. IT WAS DIFFICULT BECAUSE THE BACKGROUND ITS TOO COLOURFUL AND BRIGHT. THEN I USED THE VECTOR MASK TO COMBINE THE LAYERS

idea of the GIF

Image
My idea will be about a rabbit getting out from a tree hole and running away. I will be using pose to pose techniques and rotoscoping for the background. at first I thought that maybe I could do something abstract at the end like some distortion kind of like Alice in the wonderland but then I realised that it wont work for the loop because the last frame has to be related to the first one by doing the movement before the first frame but if I do the abstract it won't look like an appropriate loop. i found some images that could help me achieve this:

exercises

I imported the image of the boy on the bike and the moon in photoshop  used the magic tool to erase all the background that's not needed. I exported the images and imported it in after effects I used the keyframes to position and scale the images I added an image to make it a bit more creative exported the video and imported it to youtube  pose to pose: draw a path so you don't get confused on where the next ball should be at.  plan your timing with tick marks on the path of action  ruff in the keys use squashed drawings to create the illusion of weight use stretched drawings to create the illusion of speed  finally, draw the in-betweens for transitions metamorphosis: draw 2 different shapes (it could be anything) use numbers to label each point of the shape (edges and vertices). then use a blank paper to put the points together to connect the shapes in the midlle

Animation Pioneer Max Fleischer

Image
Max Fleischer Max Fleischer is one of the many pioneers of animation. The story of Max Fleischer is one of the technical innovation, full of exploration in the production process of the animated films. He had put an animation together using a process he and his brother Dave had invented in 1915 called the rotoscope, still in use today, in which a strip of live-action footage can be traced and redrawn as a cartoon. They exploited this technique in their pioneered series "out of the inkwell" that showcase the interaction between human and drawn figures and because of that Disney struggle to imitate his early Alice cartoons. Fleischer's cartoon were rather rough than refined, commercial rather than consciously artistic. though Fleischer and Disney were rivals, as Betty Boop and Mickey Mouse were becoming the most famous animated characters, they were constantly pushing revolutionary techniques. reference: https://www.biography.com/people/max-fleischer-082515 ...
